Most AI implementations fail because they're built on systems designed for storage, not intelligence. The constraint isn't the model. It's the architecture. When we built RakerOne, we started from scratch.
Most companies are layering AI onto systems that were never designed for it. Chatbots inside CRMs. Summarizers in document storage. Recommendation engines beside ERPs. It demos well. But it doesn't change how work happens. Workflows stay rigid. Data stays fragmented. Humans still translate business intent into software steps. Governance still comes after execution instead of during it. That's why most AI initiatives stall. The constraint isn't the model, it's the architecture.
When we built RakerOne, we started with a question: If we designed an operating system today, knowing AI exists, what would we never build the old way again?
Making Data AI-Native

Everything created inside RakerOne (datasets, workflows, tasks, decisions, approvals) lives in BakedB, our proprietary AI-first database designed for intelligence, not storage. Data isn't saved as rows and columns, it's structured as entities with embedded relationships, business rules, and permissions.
2) Virtual Data Plane: Converting Legacy into Intelligence
Your existing systems weren't designed for AI. The Virtual Data Plane fixes that without ripping and replacing. It's a schema layer that sits above your ERPs, CRMs, document repositories, and operational tools. Instead of moving data, it redefines how AI understands it:

Our approach: AI operates inside an ephemeral, controlled execution layer. Data assembles when needed, the task executes within governance boundaries, results validate, then the temporary layer dissolves.
No permanent AI database holding sensitive operational state. Each session is isolated, contextual, time-bound. What attackers exploit is persistence. We eliminate it.
Permissions, policies, and role constraints are encoded structurally. AI cannot step outside defined scope. Write-backs require validation through governance rules and, where needed, human checkpoints.
Result: AI understands your data semantically, operates within strict permission boundaries, and never becomes a permanent attack vector.
Context Over Prompts
We didn't want AI suggesting things in a side window. We wanted it executing inside governed workflows.
In a lease amendment, the system recognizes context. Reviewing a claim, it understands policy exposure. Processing a regulatory submission, it applies structured validation.
Not through prompts. Through contextualized functions tied to the operating system itself. Intent is inferred from where you are and what you're doing, not typed into a chat box.
Eliminating Cognitive Assembly
Consider resource planning in a legacy system: Open the ERP, navigate to planning, create a report, adjust views, adjust filters, adjust dates, cross-check availability, reconcile discrepancies. Multiple systems. Manual interpretation. You assemble meaning from data.
Chat-based AI improves this. Type "Show me next quarter's resource exposure in healthcare," get a paragraph or table. Faster, but incomplete. You still read, interpret, cross-check, open another tab, manually adjust allocations. Chat reduces navigation. It doesn't eliminate cognitive assembly.
